Attorneys Jonathan D. Marshall and Barry J. Reagan defended their client in a strict-liability dog bite action in Long Beach Superior Court. Plaintiff, a delivery driver, was bitten on the hand by Defendant’s dog while delivering a meal.
Plaintiff claimed significant injuries. Defendants countered that Plaintiff had superficial injuries which resolved fully soon after the bite incident. Plaintiff asked the jury for an award in excess of $1.6 million, claiming significant lost future earning potential and future noneconomic damages.
The jury returned a verdict of just over $30,000, awarding no future damages whatsoever.
