This distinction is based upon a peer review process and is only given to five percent of attorneys statewide. Slaughter is the firm’s managing partner and specializes in civil trial work. He holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, has been named a Best Lawyer, and has been practicing locally for 35 years. In his spare time, he is the captain of the Upper Ojai Search and Rescue team and has worked with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department for the last 30 years.
