Barry Reagan Obtains Defense Judgement

Slaughter, Reagan & Cole, LLP partner, Barry Reagan, obtained a defense judgment on behalf of the firm’s Homeowners Association’s client. The Homeowners Association is a high-rise condominium building located in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles. The plaintiff unit owner purchased a condominium and sought to completely remodel the unit before moving in. The unit owner is an architect. A dispute arose concerning common area repairs to a fire damper and corroded water line valves and alleged delays in approving proposed construction. The unit owners sued for delay damages, emotional distress and attorneys’ fees. The Court ruled in favor of the firm’s client in all respects. Plaintiff obtained no damages and the firm’s client recovered attorneys’ fees and costs from the plaintiff.
