Slaughter, Regan & Cole Announces New Partner

Slaughter, Reagan & Cole, LLP has named Megan Winter a partner of the firm, effective May 1, 2015.

Ms. Winter brings her creative and strategic experience to cases involving individuals and a broad range of entities including business owners, contractors, developers, property owners, commercial and residential property managers and insurance companies.

Ms. Winter has been an attorney at Slaughter, Reagan & Cole, LLP since 2012. She obtained her J.D. from the Pepperdine School of Law, which she attended as a Dean’s Scholar, the highest academic scholarship granted, and graduated cum laude in the top 8% of her class. While at Pepperdine, Ms. Winter served as a staff member on the Pepperdine Law Review and was named to the Dean’s List for each semester of her attendance. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Concordia College, where she obtained a B.A. in biology, cum laude. Ms. Winter was a Faculty Scholar at Concordia, again the highest academic scholarship granted by this institution and was a member of academic, biological and theatrical honors societies.

Ms. Winter is a member of the Los Angeles Bar Association, Ventura County Bar Association, Women Lawyers of Ventura County, Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association and a committee member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.

Slaughter, Reagan & Cole, LLP is also pleased to announce that Ms. Winter has been selected to the 2015 Super Lawyers Southern California "Rising Star" list by California Super Lawyers magazine. Ms. Winter has also been recognized as a 2015 Top Women Attorneys in Southern California. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. While up to 5% of the lawyers in a state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5% percent are named to Rising Stars.
