Jim Cole and Michael Brody recently obtained a defense verdict in a trial in Chatsworth.  The plaintiff, GIM Technology, Inc. sued our client, CLI International, seeking $500,000.00 in damages.  At issue in the case were efforts by the plaintiff to collect for faulty parts purchased by CLI.  At the Mandatory Settlement Conference, GIM stated its final offer was $500,000.00.  CLI offered $50,000.00.  The case then went to trial.

The first $200,000.00 in plaintiff’s claim was defeated in pre-trial motions in limine.  At trial, Cole and Brody were successful in keeping out any evidence of damages.  As a result, the jury returned a defense verdict.
