Carol M. DeSoto

Paralegal

Carol DeSoto joined Slaughter, Reagan & Cole in July of 2016. She comes to the firm with almost 25 years of litigation experience in state, federal and appellate courts all across the country. She has experience in both large and smaller firms and in cases of all sizes. She handles a variety of litigation cases, ranging from personal injury to toxic tort class-action cases.

Personal

Ms. DeSoto was born in Seoul, South Korea and immigrated to the United States with her family in 1970. She lived in New York City and Fort Lee, New Jersey until she moved to Seoul for four years after college while teaching English to students of all ages. She then moved to California in 1996 and got married in 2010 in Ventura.

She currently resides in Oxnard with her husband and rescue dogs. She enjoys taking them for walks on the beach where she gets to enjoy the sunset almost every night. Having grown up in New York City, she is also a long-time fan of her New York baseball and football teams and enjoys watching games and cheering her teams on from afar.
